The Historical Art Competition (HAC) 2006

The Melbourne Medieval Fayre and Tourney, which is the only one of its kind in Victoria, and is fast becoming a huge tourist attraction for the state of Victoria, with members of the public already attending from Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and even New Zealand. The event covers a range of Historical Time periods including the Ancient Period with Romans and Greeks, the Dark Ages with Vikings, the Medieval and Renaissance periods, the English Civil War, Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War and some early Australian Colonial Groups.

In an endeavor to help further an interest in History within educational curriculum, we would like to offer Schools in Victoria the opportunity to participate in a unique Historical Art Competition starting in 2006. The event will eventually be open to all primary and secondary schools throughout Victoria, however due to the late notice and lead time given, we would like to offer it to the primary and secondary schools in the City of Casey area only in 2006 with the aim of expanding it to the rest of Victoria provided it attracts attention from schools, students and teachers.
